IMG_3970All of the usual suspects are at the Expo with an interesting range of new East Coast post-school training providers starting up in WA.

Skill Hire had a long list of people who had expressed interest in apprenticeships.

A group training provider said that they had also had a lot of interest from potential apprentices but that there weren’t many opportunities around.

The Australian Brick and Bricklaying Training Foundation was however very keen to recruit apprentices.  The WA Manager, Dean Pearson, said he is happy to work with schools and to come out for try-a-trade days. His number is 1300 66 44 96.

Hi, I'm Bev Johnson I started my career as an English teacher in Western Australia and quickly added a pastoral care role to support kids and help them to find their purpose. My career lead through education to the TAFE sector, into business development, through ICT systems development and human resource management. My purpose was always to have fun while learning new things and making the world a better place. I am now having a great time unearthing new ways to help young people to make the giant leap from school into their future.
